The Daylesford Hotel
was originally built in the early gold rush days of the 1850’s and was
one of Daylesford’s first licensed establishments and still remains as
one of Daylesford’s Landmark buildings.
The present building was rebuilt in 1913 by the Tognini family and today the hotel retains many of its 1900’s features.
Situated right the
heart of Daylesford, it still serves as one of Daylesford’s most
favoured watering holes. Locals still meet to chew the fat with other
locals and tourists and people from all walks of Life, and why wouldn’t
they? The Hotel is still locally owned and managed by Daylesfordians.
Just a short trip to
lake Daylesford or Jubilee lake, picturesque and peaceful surrounds for
boating, fishing, swimming, picnics and bushwalking.
Visit Wombat Hill and
the botanical gardens or explore the many walking tracks through lovely
bushlands and forests which take you to lookouts, waterfalls, mineral
springs and old mining relics.

antique shops, art galleries, bookshops, craft shops, or the local
museum. Visit the Sunday market and pick up a bargain or take the
scenic train ride. See the local wineries or fresh produce farms
or relax and enjoy a massage or spa at one of the many local spa
