The Kitchen
Our
head chef Peter Kuhar brings with him 10 years experience working in
the hospitality industry. Peter has run kitchens in small &
large hotels.
Peter understands the needs and wants of his customers which is reflected in his extensive menu.
Fresh
produce is an integral ingredient in Peter’s cuisine (local produce is
purchased where available), but the most important ingredient of all is
love and it is easy to see, smell & taste when you choose to dine
with us.
The Bistro
at the front of the Hotel seats seventy people comfortably, with two
open fires, magnificent Leadlight windows; local artist’s artwork
hanging is ever changing and available to purchase. There is a TV and
background music playing, all to ensure that dining is as laid back as
your own home.
The
menu is as varied and affordable as there is for Hotel dining, from
weekday $10 lunch deals to our ongoing specials board. The meals
themselves are as big as you’ll get in Daylesford. Choose a wine from
our varied range from the wine list which incorporates all wines from
our Bottle shop.
The Balcony
is also a favourite spot to dine during summer, overlooking the
township itself its probably the best dining position in Daylesford,
seating as many as 100 people, it also has its own Bar which is open on
certain days.
Group
bookings for the balcony are taken over the spring/summer/early autumn
period for party’s, wedding receptions, or just an informal
gathering. Catering can be organised for groups on a per head
basis for nibbles or three course formal meal, whatever you are after
we can cater tailor a menu to your needs.
The
balcony bar can be opened for booking’s over 40 people by prior
arrangement. The bistro bar just a short walk down stairs operates in
normal bistro hours.
Togninis
dining room is another area to dine as a group, private functions or
club/business meetings parties etc. Bookings for 50 – 60 in
Togninis are taken year round, once again catering can be tailored to
your needs.
The Beer Garden
is another favourite spot to dine or drink in, recently revamped it
holds five large tables shaded with umbrellas, surrounded by
managed gardens and rotunda all shaded from trees and shrubs. Right
next to the Bar.
